

Contract-To-Permanent – for situations where you need to try the employee out before committing to permanent employee status
For various reasons, businesses have identified a need to incorporate a blend of contracted positions into their regular workforce. There is often an advantage to engaging staff on an ‘accounts payable basis’ rather than engaging that staff as a direct employee of the company. When choosing a third party employment solution, the client pays one invoice and leaves the direct employer/employee relationship in the hands of the third party. Direct employment requires the hiring company to deal with recruitment costs and employment related overhead, which includes, worker’s comp, local, state and federal taxes, local, state and federal compliance requirements, Medicare and Social Security, health/dental/vision/COBRA, group life insurance, unemployment insurance, disability insurance, retirement benefits, payroll/direct deposit, vacation/holiday/sick/personal time, etc. When a client engages Pentad, all of these costs are rolled up into one, easily managed fee. This fee can be paid simply through the company’s accounts payable process. Pentad handles everything else.
Traditionally, third party employment solutions have been available only through Temporary Help Agencies in a limited fashion. Temps are registered in large quantity by the Temp Agency and entered into their database. When a client calls, a Temp is dispatched for the assignment. While this process works well for short term needs, where the position isn’t very complex, it fails when companies need longer term, higher caliber staff. Temp agencies just don’t spend the time and effort needed to recruit and retain high caliber staff, and don’t have the compensation and benefit structure in place to make their positions attractive to the better candidates.
