Our Methodology

Our Methodology

Pentad has developed an exclusive and unique search methodology. Through active collaboration with our clients, we create a solid blueprint of requirements for each position we source. We define four criteria and use this information throughout the recruiting process to guide us in candidate selection. During our first client meeting, the needs analysis will identify the following four criteria:

  • Mandatory Criteria is non-negotiable and is established by the company for all employees.
  • Directly Measurable Criteria includes salary requirements, location, education level and years of experience.
  • Objective Criteria includes items such as work history, experience or the ability to work independently. These are not directly measurable, like years of experience or education and certification; this is an assessment that needs to be made when reviewing the candidate.
  • Subjective Criteria are things like personality, veracity, work ethic and communication skills. They are measured by each interviewer’s individual read of the candidate and the way he or she responded to a set of questions. There are no measurable rights or wrongs; each member of the hiring team has to make his or her own assessment of the criteria.

Establishing these four important criteria enables our recruiters to identify and locate the top talent our clients are seeking.
